Recently, OPPO released a gaming phone with a Cooling Fan. The fan is very powerful and cools your phone for the ultimate gaming experience. Let's check out it's specs.

Cooling 

Micro powerful fan system helps in the major cooling of the the phone. The fan blades are 0.1mm in size and has upto 18,000 rotations per minute (RPM) with a duct outside the phone it can release the heat from inside. It also has cooling fins just beside the fan which improves heat dispersal by 3 times. Other than the cooling fan it also has a cooling vapour chamber; 7000mm chamber at just 0.29 thin VC design with thermal conductivity graphite accompanied with thermal conductivity gel. K13 Turbo Pro is powered by the ultimate lag killer; Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with 4nm which is very small(the smaller the better) and a benchmark of 2,200,000 AnTuTu score. All of this cooling is effective in gameplay giving us 25℃ smooth gameplay for 3 hours continuously. With settings of 120fps we can play with no lag or frame drops. It is amazing it keeps the phone at just 25℃ even after playing for 3 hours straight and 120 frames! The CPU has 8 cores with clock speed 3.2GHz.

The New S25 Edge 

Recently, on May 13 Samsung released the S25 Edge, said as the slimmest and lightweight Galaxy S model ever made. The last Edge model made by samsung was the Galaxy S7 Edge back in 2016, since then they stopped making Edge models and this was the next Edge model by Samsung. Here are the specifications of S25 Edge.

Dimensions 

The S25 Edge weighs about 163 g and has a thickness of just 5.8mm which is considered very slim or slimmest compared to other smartphone.The S25 Ultra weighs 218g and has a width of 8.2mm, The S24FE weighs 213g and has a width of 8.0mm, The S25+ weighs 190g and has a width of 7.3mm, The S25 weighs 162g, 1 gram lesser than S25 Edge! But sadly it has a width of 7.2mm.

Even though the S25 Edge is very slim, it doesn't lack any performance issues, as it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for Galaxy with 12GB of RAM with storage options of between 256GB or 512GB. The chipset is the same one in the S25 Ultra. It has an Antutu score of 2,185,567, CPU-493,478, GPU-936,944.

Durability and Design

It comes with titanium frame which is very durable, and Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection offering the best type of protection, with curved edges unlike boxy edges from S24 Ultra, it also provides IP68 rating for both water and dust resistance.

It can take clear and excellent photos with it's 200MP lens. Also with Galaxy AI, it can enhance portraits and photos with it's ProVisual Engine.

It has a bigger 6.7-inch AMOLED 2x display with QHD+ 1440 x 3120 resolution, and 2600 nits peak brightness better than the last model with 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth usage. But, sadly the S25 Edge does not have Anti-Reflective coating minimizing reflections, which is there in the S25 Ultra.

It has a 3900 mAh Li-Ion battery with usage time upto 25 hours on a normal scale usage. But on average you will get about 6-7 hours of use. It has a standby time upto 270 hours. Even though it is slim, it lasts throughout the day.

How to Get a Better Battery Life on Smartphones? Tips and tricks

Increase Your Battery Life

Some smartphone users experience short battery life, some can't even get through the day after using for a short time. So, these are few tips and tricks you can use to increase your battery life.

Reducing Screen Brightness 

You may increase your screen brightness to the maximum, so your screen will look more brighter and better to watch movies etc. But increasing screen brightness to max can reduce battery life and is bad for our eyes. Increaase brightness can gives headaches and eyestrain.

Switch To Dark Mode

In our smartphones, it is set to light theme/mode by default. Switching your phones theme from dark mode to light theme can make a bigger impact on battery life, especially on phones with AMOLED display. You can easily do this by going to notification panel and there will be Dark mode or Dark theme options(varies in different devices)

Reducing Screen Timeout

In our phones settings, we can see display option click on it, then we will see 'Screen timeout' option. There, we can set the time our screen stays awake. If it is set at three minutes or more, then it can drain our battery fast as the display will be on if we don't switch it off. One minute timeout is considered healthy for better battery life. There is also 'Never' option in timeout which will never turn off the display, meaning it will be turned on till battery drains to 0% until we turn it off.

App Backround Activity 

Limiting background activity can give us much better battery life. Backround running apps such as Spotify, YT Music and many such run in the background even when we are not using them. These apps on run in backround when we play music then it runs even when screen is off. You can optimise your phone by using cleaner, stopping background usage by apps.

Power Saving Mode

In the quick notification centre we can turn on power saving mode giving us more battery, but less performance. Turning this mode on can reduce CPU usage by 70-80% reducing performance. This also reduces brightness by 10%(varies in different phones).

Battery Optimisation 

If none of these tricks work, try optimising your phones battery. Go to settings-Select battery option-Click optimise battery. After optimising it will say what are the problems with battery, background app usage, and battery capacity and more(varies in different phones)

Types Of Selfie Camera Cutouts Explained

 

In the smartphone industry there has been many types of selfie camera cutouts in various shapes, sizes and in design's. Today, we are going to discuss these types.

Punch Hole notch

This type of cutout is the most popular among selfie cameras. This type is also the most common found in today's phones. The first phone to have punch hole camera was the Honor View 20, which was released in January 2019 featuring the very first phone to have punch hole camera. This design is a universally accepted in selfie cameras. Punch hole camera is of three times; It can be in the middle, on the left side of the screen and on the right side of the screen.

Tear-Drop notch

The Tear-Drop notch was first seen on August 2017 on the Essential Phone PH-1. The Tear-drop notch is also known as a "U" shaped cutout. This was also on the Sharp Aquos S2 at the same time. This notch was prominent in the years 2018 and 2019. Tear-drop notch is still used in phones even in 2025, but it is not common. It is seen in the Redmi A5, POCO C71, Redmi 14c, OPPO A59, Galaxy FO6, MO6 and many more. This type of notch is commonly seen in budget phones and low-priced phones. Most phones above 15,000 rupees will have punch hole cameras. Although the punch hole camera is seen on flagship phones most people still prefer tear-drop notch as punch hole notch is a little bit lower on the display than tear-drop which provides more screen-to-body ratio and giving a better viewing experience.

Under-Display (no notch)

The Under-Display selfie camera is the future. This type camera is not visible on the phones display and can't be seen with a naked eye. The camera is hidden under the display and positioned near the speaker. The main advantage of this type of camera is that, we get a full screen display with no interruptions from the notch, giving us more visual experience. But, there is also a disadvantage in Under-display cameras, because it is under the display the image taken is known to be a little foggy and low clarity. Some phones with under-display camera are the ZTE Axon 40 Ultra, RedMagic 10 pro, Galaxy Z fold 3,4,5,6. The camera of ZTE Axon 40 Ultra and RedMagic is known to take foggy pictures, whereas the Z fold takes better pictures with absolutely no issues just like a normal notch camera.

Pop-up camera

This type of camera is also same as the under-display camera, providing full screen display. How the system works is by putting a motor in the phone and the selfie camera inside it. So, when we need to use it, it will mechanically rise from the top of the phone using it's motor. This was introduced in the early 2018 and it's first model made was by Vivo with the model name NEX. This was an innovative design and provided full screen display giving immersive experience. However, this design was a total design flaw as if the phone needed to be repaired it would be expensive and lacked IP water resistance rating. The motor and it mechanism takes a lot of valuable internal space which can be used to add more hardware or bigger battery. Because of these moving parts inside the phone added extra strain on the battery which affects battery life. Users were also concerned on durability and reliability on the motors every time they take a selfie.Some phones featuring pop-up cameras are; OnePlus 7 Pro, Oppo F11 Pro, Oppo Reno 2F, Vivo V15 Pro, Realme X, Xiaomi K20 Pro etc.

Dynamic Island

The Dynamic Island is the one of the best notches created in the smartphone industry. This idea is very innovative and is a solution to the big notches on the made from iPhone X to 14. This feature was introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro. Instead of a big notch in the middle, Apple found a creative way to utilise the notch space to make something innovative. The island is smaller than the notch and looks like an island on the display. With this Island we can use it in various ways in our daily life. Suppose, you start a timer and exit out of the app. The timer you set will be seen on the island on the top of the screen with countdown on the side of the notch, as we all know Apple is known for making smooth animations. So, the animations on the island is smooth and gives us a premium experience. The timer feature also applies same when we play music, when we exit out of the app the music we play will be on the island and we can see which music it is and can pause, play and change music by just touching on the island. When we turn on flashlight, get a call, when we charge the phone, when we unlock the phone with FaceID, when we record voice all these and many more features will be seen on the island and we can use it to seize our day.

The Island is bigger than other phones selfie cameras, Why? It is because the island on iPhones not only have just one selfie camera, It has; Infrared camera, Flood illuminator, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, speaker, Microphone, Front camera, Dot projector. Xiaomi 15 Ultra; New Camera Killer?

Xiaomi recently launched the Xiaomi 15 Ultra globally on February 27th 2025 and on March 11th 2025 in India. The main highlights of the 15 Ultra is it's camera which is co-engineered with Leica which is a well known brand in germany which makes high-end camera's rifle scopes etc. Because of these partnership Xiaomi was able to absolutely push their limits in camera's specs.

US President Donald Trump has increased tariff upto 145% on chinese goods imported from there. China in return increased tariff with 125% on US products."Tit for Tat".

Trump's idea of boosting production

Trump also increased 10% tax on goods from majority of other countries. His idea of increase in tariff is because he says that it will boost US production and protect jobs, but it backfired as the economy has gone chaos because the prices of good are expected to rise.
