Wikipedia Looses It's Page Views by 8% After AI Reshapes Information

 

Human Traffic Decline

After more AI apps and sites started to appear, people now have reduced referring to wikipedia for relevant information and as a result showed 8% human page view reduction. Now, generative AI summarizes results when we search something on google thus people don't enter sites for gathering info. Even though this doesn't affect news sites as most AI's are known for giving false news even while it refers to site sources, maybe because it understands news differently. Most search engines take sources from wikipedia. In India 50%+ of the young generation from 14-23 uses AI. The main users of AI are the young generation which helps them with homework and other help.

Wikipedia's Response 

As a response to this, wiki took some measures to increase traffic;

• New tools in phones with more optimisation.
• Giving the website more wider audience 
• Aiming on younger audience as they mostly use AI
